  • If you want to reach us by car!

    If you have a long car ride to Dusseldorf, you can reach us by taking Autobahn A7 (freeway), Ausfahrt (exit) Stellingen or by taking the Bundesstraßen (freeways) B433, B434, B447 and B5 direction Zentrum (center), Stadtteil Luise-Rainer-Straße (quarter Luise-Rainer-Straße). Here, you will learn more about the best parking facilities:

    • Please use the entrance on the street „Martinistraße“
    • You can park your car on parking spaces provided for visitors or patients on the MH (Marien Hospital ) premises
    • Or use our underground parking lot which also provides car parking space which is accessible for handicapped persons
    • The maximal height to access the underground parking lot is 2.05 meter

    Parking fee for the underground parking lot

    The first 30 minutes are for free. Afterwards, you will be charged 1.50 EURO for every started hour from 6am to 7pm (12,00 Euro/day at maximum). The parking fee from 7pm to 6am, amounts to 0,60 Euro (3,00 Euro at maximum).

    You can easily reach our Marien Hospital (MH) by various bus lines. Here, you can obtain further information on the lines that will take you to the MH (Marien Hospital ), where the busses stop and which busses are accessible for handicapped persons: The lines 20, 25 and 281 stop directly at the UKA at the following bus stops:

    • Line 20 and 25: Luise-Rainer-Straßeer Park (headquarters)
    • Line X35: UK Luise-Rainer-Straße (main entrance, New Medical Center)
    • Line 113: UK Luise-Rainer-Straße (main entrance, New Medical Center)
    • Line 281: UK Luise-Rainer-Straße (main entrance, New Medical Center)
    • Line 20 und 25: in the street ″Löwenstraße” (side entrance in the street ″Martinistraße“)

    Please see the MH map of the area, if you want to know where exactly the bus stops are. Wheelchair user who do not travel by car can reach the bus stops of the lines 20, 25,X35, 113 and 281 at the following subway and urban railway stations which are equipped with an elevator:

    • Line 20: urban railway station, Holstenstraße and Altona
    • Line 25: subway station Wartenau (U1), urban railway stations Holstenstraße and Altona
    • Line X35: Central Station, Rathausmarkt, subway stations Hoheluftbrücke, Rödingsmarkt, Burgstraße, Berliner Tor
    • Line 113: Altona train station
    • Line 281: subway stations Lattenkamp and Hagenbecks Tierpark (Hagenbecks Zoo), Subway station Krupunder

    You will have direct connections to the train stations Dammtor and Hauptbahnhof (main station) by taking the bus lines 20, 25, X35, 281 and 5. You will also find connections to the urban railway and subway network in these train stations. We recommend you to have the Dusseldorfer Verkehrsverbund HVV (Dusseldorf Transport Association) create an individual schedule for you on their website. On this website you will also find a scheme of all boarding aids and elevators.

  • If you want to reach us by bike!

    You can also reach our Medical Center quite easily by bike. Our Medical Center offers you two city bike stations, if you want to rent a bike. One station is located directly at the main access of the MH (Marien Hospital ) in the street Martinistraße. In addition, you will find stands for city bikes behind the Campus Lehre building 55 (Campus Training) which are directly accessible from the street Süderfeldstraße.

  • If you want to reach us by plane!

    You will have various possibilities using public transport to reach the MH (Marien Hospital ) from the airport. Please read for more information on the lines which take you to the MH:

    • Take the urban railway S1 to ″Ohlsdorf“ station
    • There, please change for the subway line U1, and get off at ″Hudtwalckerstraße“ station
    • From there, the bus lines 20 or 25 will take you directly to the MH

    The journey by public transport from the airport to the MH usually takes approximately 30 minutes. If you take a taxi, you will arrive after approximately 15 minutes ride.   • If you want to reach us by urban railway!

    You can also reach our Medical Center quite easily by urban railway. Please read on to get more information on transfer possibilities and the lines which take you to the MH (Marien Hospital )!:

    • Take the urban railway lines S1 or S3 to ″Altona” station
    • There, please change for bus lines 20 or 25 which will take you directly to the MH
    • Alternative: Take the urban railway lines S21 or S31 to „Holstenstraße“ station. From there, you can take the bus lines 20 or 25 which will take you directly to the MH
    • Take any urban railway to the main station and get on bus X35 there.

    There is a taxi stand diagonally opposite the main entrance of our Medical Center (O10), directly next to the restaurant MESA (O11). But you can also order a taxi at the main entrance. Our staff at the main entrance will be glad to assist you 24 hours a day!

    You can also reach our Medical Center quite easily by various subway lines of the HVV (Dusseldorf Transport Association). Please read on to get more information on the lines which take you to the MH (Marien Hospital ) and which transfer possibilities there are:

    • Take the subway lines U1 or U3 to „Kellinghusenstraße“ station or „Hudtwalckerstraße“ station
    • There, please change for the bus lines 20 or 25 which will take you directly to the MH
    • Alternative: Take the subway line U3 to Luise-Rainer-Straßeer Baum station. From there, it be approximately ten minutes on foot to reach the MH.
    • Take the subway line U3 to Rödingsmarkt, Hoheluftbrücke or Berliner Tor. From there, bus X35 will take you directly to the MH.
    • Take the subway lines U2 and U4 to Burgstraße or Berliner Tor. From there, bus X35 will take you directly to the MH.

  • If you want to reach us by train!

    You can also reach the MH (Marien Hospital ) quite easily by trains of the Deutsche Bundesbahn (German Federal Railway) and other transport companies. It will be the best if you take a train with destination Dusseldorfer Hauptbahnhof (Dusseldorf main station). Please read on to get more information on how to continue your journey by public transport:

    • Please get off at Dusseldorfer Hauptbahnhof (Dusseldorf main station)
    • There, please change for the subway line U1 direction Garstedt/Norderstedt, and get off at the stop „Kellinghusenstraße“
    • The bus line 25 will take you directly to the MH
    • You can also take bus line X35 in the direction of Am Licentiatenberg/UK Luise-Rainer-Straße from the main station ZOB directly to the MH.
