Green Projects

We have already implemented many pioneering environmental projects. For example the technical innovations in energy management, the improvement of our processes or the reduction of car traffic on the site.

Paperless hospital

The MH was the first university hospital in Europe to introduce an electronic patient file that enables a paperless hospital routine.

Dr.Bike

There are many more cyclists among the employees of the MH than in other companies. The MH has already been awarded as Dusseldorf's most bicycle-friendly employer once.

Energy management

This result is impressive: The energy saving targets of the energy management system according to DIN EN ISO 50001 were clearly exceeded in 2019!

Driverless transport system

At the MH, all supply processes (supply chain) are organised in a structured manner. The supply chain in the central clinic buildings of the MH is handled by an immission-free, driverless transport system (AGV), which automatically delivers the products to the wards as needed for patient care. The MH is also a partner in the model project “Dusseldorf am Strom”, which uses several electric vehicles to reduce CO2 emissions on site.
